There are as many different ways to design a garden arbor or pergola as there are uses for the structures; the choices are almost endless. By taking into consideration the type of material that best meets your needs and the purpose, if any, that the structure will serve, you will come up with a design that compliments your yard beautifully. Remember, an arbor or pergola is a large and important element in your landscape design. Take the time to choose a unit that's right for you, and you will be rewarded with a beautiful structure that will grace your garden for years to come.
Like many gardeners, you may be asking yourself, what is the difference between an arbor and a pergola? While there isn't a clear consensus on this, generally an arbor is a smaller structure with an arched top, usually standing 6 1/2 to 9 feet tall at the peak. Arbors are often placed over walkways or a gate in a fence. A pergola, on the other hand, has a flat top that is directly perpendicular to the straight sides it rests on. Pergolas can range in size from small enough to just cover a walkway to large enough to span a deck or patio area.
Some people end up straddling the fence for years for various reasons. Some people say they are just staying together for the sake of the children. Others say they cant afford to live on their own. When anyone straddles the fence in the relationship, the relationship deteriorates.
Wedding gazebos are a timeless staple of celebration decor which add class and style to any event, but especially enhance the beauty of a wedding.
